Add a clickable button in header area

Hi all, I’m trying to add a button that triggers a popup in the header area of the following site: http://securtac.ca/new

I’m talking about the button that says “GET A QUOTE” at the top right.

At the moment I’ve added it using the :after pseudo-class in CSS, but this doesn’t seem to work as a trigger in the pop-up maker so do you have any suggestions as to how I might add this to make it work?

Thank you

Robin

Hi Robin,

Please create the _brand.php file in this directory: x-child/framework/legacy/cranium/headers/views/global/ in your child theme with the following code:

<?php

// =============================================================================
// VIEWS/GLOBAL/_BRAND.PHP
// -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
// Outputs the brand.
// =============================================================================

$site_name        = get_bloginfo( 'name' );
$site_description = get_bloginfo( 'description' );
$logo             = x_make_protocol_relative( x_get_option( 'x_logo' ) );
$site_logo        = '<img src="' . $logo . '" alt="' . $site_description . '">';

?>

<?php echo '<h1 class="visually-hidden">' . $site_name . '</h1>'; ?>

<a href="<?php echo home_url( '/' ); ?>" class="<?php x_brand_class(); ?>" title="<?php echo $site_description; ?>">
  <?php echo ( $logo == '' ) ? $site_name : $site_logo; ?>
</a>

<a class="get-a-quote" href="#">Get A Quote</a>

After that update your custom CSS to this:

    border-radius: 50px;
    display: block;
    background: #D4AF37;
    height: 29px;
    font-size: 15px;
    color: white;
    letter-spacing: 0.01em;
    padding: 10px 10px 25px 10px;
    position: absolute;
    left: 88%;
    top: 8%;
    margin: 0 auto;

Hope it helps :slight_smile:
