ADA Compliance, WCAG and X Theme

2017 has seen a number of fresh lawsuits regarding ADA website accessibility compliance and I am researching the state of things and developing a report.

Is your company’s website accessible to the disabled? You’d better hope so

Is anyone using compliance tools and working with X to meet compliance goals? How’s it going? Got any tips or horror stories?

I’ve found quite a few tools and am trying to get up to speed as quickly as I can. So far, all the tools report even the official websites requiring compliance as being non-compliant, or at least having many violations. How compliant is compliant enough to be legally compliant?

Any thoughts or helpful experiences are most welcome…

Here are some resources I’ve found so far that seem to be a good jumping-off point:

Hi There,

Any updates here. I ran a report using a plugin and the report showed a ton of Theme Errors. Im using PRO on this webssite and have spent several hours fixing what I can but there are 4405 Theme Errors on the report.

Does Theme.co look at this at all? Most of the errors are in the form of these:

redundant anchor text: 899
color contrast failure: 1299
background image: 445
img alt invalid: 511

I went through all images and corrected the alt tags.

This ADA Compliance is a huge deal with law firms. They are getting sued left and right and would not be cool if this happened because of redundant anchor text or background images being hidden from html…

Is there any way to have this looked at?
