Active-shown navigation on child pages

Hello,

I have selected both ‘current link’ and ‘ancestor link’ in the header setup, but the child pages are not showing as active on the navigation.

Hello Darren,

The current and ancestor link depends on the structure of the menu so you will also have to add the Damns Development and Diplomacy page as a sub item for the Research page in the menu settings just like this:

So, if I don’t want to add the page as sub item it’s not possible to show the active state in the navigation?

Hey Darren,

Yes, that is correct because the Ancestor Link option is based on the Navigation structure and not the Parent Page.

The current_page_parent class is still added to the parent menu though so you still can style it using CSS in case you know CSS development.
