Activated Website. Lost Logo

Hi There,
I currently am using Ethos 1. I recently activated my website which changed my box.temp domain to my now current domain. I updated my licences with evanto to the new domain and also activated the SSL certification.

Once doing so my Header Logo disappered and was replaced with the text version. I inspected the element and it is src is still pointing to the old temp.box domain.

I redirected to the X options in Header and found that the Logo section is now greyed out and not allowing me to update or upload the same logo and comes up as blank.( pictured below)

Please advise what I can do to allow me to access the Logo-Image section in the Header Options of the X interface.

Thanks,
Vargie

Hi Vargie,

Please install this third party plugin

Then

Search for https://box5756.temp.domains/~vargiejo and replace it with https://vargiejohnson.com and
Search for https:\/\/box5756.temp.domains\/~vargiejo and replace it with https:\/\/vargiejohnson.com

Hope that helps

Hi,
I had limited luck with this solution.
I am having 2 big issues when I switched to SSL and activated the website.

  1. In addition to the logo disappearing 95% of the images in all my posts have disappeared as seen below.

I can manually go through each photo and rechoose from the media library.

  1. Some of my widget plugins such as a social fans counter has disappeared from my sidebar. I have uninstalled and reinstalled but still not showing up. The box and title appear but not the widget itself as seen below.

Please advise.

Hello Vargie,

Thanks for updating the thread.

Can you please share website login details in secure note for us to take a closer look?

Thanks.

Secure note added.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Vargie,

I tried to login using the details you have provided but it is not working.

Also, please note that the logo is now visible on the site:

Hope this helps.

Hi, to be clear you have to log in with the wordpress.com secure login. using the regular “login with username and password” will not recognize the credentials.

I fixed the logo via the original suggestions by @paul.r, however the two additional issues mentioned above continue to be a problem.

Thanks, for your help.

Hi Alkhobar,

I can still see the old url. It looks like better search and replace plugin were not able to pick up some of the url.
For these urls, it needs to be updated in the database directly but regretfully this is outside the scope of support that we offer.
For future reference, In migrating or moving your site, please use a plugin.

Thanks

Hi Paul,

I understand your limitations on support.

Please help me understand where you are seeing the old URL. I have gone through cpanel and identified the SocialCounter widget in element in the options table with reference below:

Option Name: widget_socialfans_counter_widget
Option Value: a:2:{i:4;a:21:{s:5:“title”;s:12:“Social Stats”;s:9:“box_width”;i:0;s:7:“columns”;i:3;s:7:“effects”;s:13:“sf-view-first”;s:12:“hide_numbers”;N;s:10:“hide_title”;N;s:10:“show_total”;s:1:“1”;s:10:“icon_color”;s:5:“light”;s:8:“bg_color”;s:6:“colord”;s:16:“hover_text_color”;s:5:“light”;s:19:“hover_text_bg_color”;s:6:“colord”;s:9:“show_diff”;N;s:17:“show_diff_lt_zero”;N;s:21:“diff_count_text_color”;s:0:"";s:19:“diff_count_bg_color”;s:0:"";s:7:“is_lazy”;s:1:“1”;s:12:“rounded_icon”;s:1:“1”;s:12:“block_shadow”;N;s:13:“block_divider”;N;s:12:“block_margin”;s:1:“0”;s:12:“block_radius”;s:1:“0”;}s:12:"_multiwidget";i:1;}

I am not seeing any reference to the old URL.

Please point me in the right direction I should be looking.

Thanks,
Vargie

Hi Vargie,

It’s in the post content, so you can check in wp_posts table, post_content column

Thanks
