I want to migrate over to UberMenu, but I need some time to develop the new menu before making it visible on the front end of the website. The issue I’m having is that whenever I activate the UberMenu plugin it automatically changes the format of my main top menu, thus making the menu appear broken to website visitors.
So is there a way to activate UberMenu but not show any changes on the front end until I’ve had time to design and test a new menu?

Thanks for writing in! When you activate ubermenu plugin, it will replace your primary menu by default. You will have to put your site under construction mode while doing the menu because there is no way you can hide the primary menu while you are create the new ubermenu.

Unfortunately my site is far to heavily trafficed to put it in “under construction” mode. What I need is a way to build my new Ubermenu before making it live on the front end.
Is there any other work-around to do this?

In that case, it would be best to setup a staging site which is a duplicate of your live site then do the changes from there so that you can setup the UberMenu without disrupting the live site.
