ACF Wysiwig removing tags

Hello, Heres my problem

Using the ACF WYSIWYG field to create a paragraph with details. However, when I press enter to go onto the new line or paragraph the editor doesn’t create the tags.

so on the post, it’s all one big block. I have to go back in and manually put the tags into the text side of the editor.

any advice or is there another editor I can plug into ACF that is better than the normal TinyMCE

Thanks for writing in!

WYSIWYG means what you see is what you get. This means that any character added into the field will be converted into it’s equivalent html format. HTML tags and codes will not be allowed in WYSIWYG or Rich Text view. You are only allowed to insert plain texts.

yes i know that, but my point is its not converting ie when im writing two paragraphs it doesnt create p tags

Hey @bulli79,

I see the issue. There’s no need to worry though as the tags are added in the live page.

Regretfully, there’s nothing we could do in the backend. It is WordPress doing and not ACF so we’d need to see if WordPress will bring back the tag completion in their Classic Editor.
