I have a custom post type named “property”. I have copied the wp-single.php template to be template-blank-4, header, footer, no container. That all works fine. However, now my blog posts are displaying the same way. I am trying to figure out to get a separate custom post template for my blog and my post type “property”. I know I just need to rename some of the single.php files, but can’t figure out the correct file names and structure to get it working properly.

Please check this wordpress template hierarchy guidance. See the template name under Single Post.

Portfolio is a custom post type too. See portfolio’s template as guide inside the theme’s folder.
