ACF Pro + Pro Child Theme Incompatible?

Hello, I’m trying to add new URLs to my active sites on ACF Pro. The conflict is in my theme (Pro Child Theme). When the child theme is applied, there is no option available to add my license key, but when Twenty Twenty-One is applied, I’m prompted to add my license key.

How can this be resolved? I appreciate any help you can give!
Thanks!

Hey Elisha,

Thanks for reaching out!

The reason why you can’t enter your ACF Pro license when the child theme is activated is that the ACF Pro is one of our bundled plugins and we made some modications to disable that option. It is also advisable to use our ACF Pro version so it will be compatible with our product.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for getting back to me! However, I am a little confused.
I work for an agency, and we do have an ACF Pro account; the freelancer license.
Is the freelancer version for compatible with the Pro Chile theme? If you could elaborate a little, I’d appreciate it.
Thanks!

Hi Elisha,

I highly recommend using our ACF bundled plugin to avoid any compatibility issues.

Hope that helps.

Thanks Marc! Can you direct me to the URL where that information is? I’m having trouble finding it.

Also, I don’t know if this helps but ACF Pro is activated and installed on my site. I’m still having problems with compatibility. See below:

Hey Elisha,

Based on your screenshot, I don’t see any compatibility issue. Would you mind sharing more information?

Thank you.

Sure! I have 9/10 licenses with my freelancer plan. However, I’m not able to or can’t figure out how to add new URLs to my activations. I don’t have an option to paste my license key anywhere within the ACF Pro plugin settings.

Is the license key not needed? Do I just have to install and activate via the Pro Validation tab.

Please let me know if I need to clarify anything.

Hey Elisha,

Yes, you don’t need to use the license key from your ACF freelancer plan because the ACF Pro is part of our bundled plugin and you don’t need a license for it.

Hope that clarifies everything.
