ACF Number Field with Rating Element

Added a simple ACF custom number field to use with the Rating Element (Stars) and using “Step Size” of .5 (for half-star) but it’s not working. Simplified it to use “no step size” … only whole integers and it still doesn’t work.

Any ideas?

No sir… that doesn’t work either. Can you try on your end and let me know what you can make work? I need to be able to set the rating to be between 1 and 5

I just tested on my site and both setups work. I mean {{dc:acf:field field="star_rating"}} works and {{dc:post:meta key="star_rating"}} also works.

This was a known issue before X 7.0.3. Maybe you’re using an older version? Would you mind checking if everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list at https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. See https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62 for more details.

If that doesn’t help, also do the following:

1. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

2. If you’re using a child theme, switch to the parent theme.
