ACF Menu Item Images Not Saving

Hello,

I am having a problem where an advanced custom field (an image field) that I created for menu items is having problems saving. I contacted ACF Pro to get some assistance and they stated the following:

It looks like the saving issue is related to a theme conflict since your theme is also adding some meta to the menu items, deactivating the current theme and switching to the Twenty Nineteen theme appears to fix the saving issues.
I can recommend that you reach out to the author of the theme so that they can advise on ways of working around this.

I can replicate this issue on my local installation.

I’ve also added this issue to our bug tracker and it should be fixed in upcoming updates.

Regretfully, it’s not possible to provide an estimate as to when this will get fixed.

You can check the changelog page when we release an update to see if fixed on this bug is included.

Hey @icandy_webs

We were able to get this conflict resolved. Both ACF and X include a drop-in of this plugin (https://github.com/ineagu/wp-menu-item-custom-fields) there was a conflict between versions so we just updated ours to match ACF’s identically and both are working now. You’ll see this change in the next release.
