ACF / Dynamic Content with Off Canvas Modal after Pro 3.2.2 update

Hi!

I just noticed that my pages with ACF content displayed inside an off canvas modal are not displaying properly after the update to Pro 3.2.2. I rolled back my environment to 3.1.2 and can confirm that it is now working as intended after that, so I believe I have the problem isolated.

ACF will simply not render at all if placed inside an off canvas modal.

Dynamic Content does not appear to display the correct content. For instance if my permalink is:

https:/domain.com/shop/product and I’m using the call {{dc:post:permalink}} the url showed when rendered is:

https://domain.com/shop/

{{dc:post:title}} appears to show the parent page, in the instance “Shop”.

Hope this helps you! Please let me know if you need anything from me.

Thanks!

Hey There,

We’ve just released version 5.8.8 of ACF Pro. Please give this new version a try and report back if you still can replica the issue.

Hi, @rubin!

Unfortunately, that update did not work. I copied the site to a separate environment for you and your team to look at it. Please see the Secure Note for URL and details.

Thanks for help you can provide!

Hello @comdoc_marketing,

Please be advice that the Product post type is not supported with dynamic content. Keep in mind that only the posts, pages and archives are supported.

Hope this helps.

Hi @ruenel,

Please note that on the two URLs provided in my secure note you’ll see that site running the previous versions of Pro and ACF work flawlessly.

On the site with the most up-to-date version dynamic content works fine on anything inline, but anything that’s displayed in an off canvas modal do not render properly.

Something got mixed up in the versioning.

Hi @comdoc_marketing,

Thank you for your detailed report. I managed to recreate the problem on my local installation. It is even not related to ACF and it does not retrieve the product page title.

I added this to our issue tracker. Please kindly keep the old version and watch the changelog for the future releases.

Thank you.

Thanks very much, @christopher!

You’re welcome
