Accordion menu not working on mobile and tablet after updating Cornerstone and X theme

Hello,

after updating Cornerstone to v. 7.0.1 and X theme to v. 10.0.1, my website has issues on mobile (android) and tablet. On desktop everything works fine.

For example, the menus on homepage are not working:
www.bjuterii-unice.ro

All other plugins are up-to-date.

Can you please advise?
Thank you.

Hi @ioanamester,

Thanks for reaching out.
Unfortunately, the given URL is not accessible and shows a DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN error. What you are experiencing might be due to some different reasons behind your issue. I would like to suggest troubleshooting the following common issue to help us to recognize the reason.

  1. Theme Related Issue
  2. Plugin Conflict
  3. Theme Update related issue
  4. Child Theme Related issue
  5. CSS/JS Customization
  6. Disabling Cache
  7. Disabling CDN

If you discover that an issue is coming from a custom code or 3rd party plugin, kindly consult with a developer or contact the plugin author. Please note that we do not provide support for custom codes and 3rd party plugins.
If that does not help, please check the website URL and let us know for further investigation.

Thanks

The website is accesible at https://www.bijuterii-unice.ro/
I changed the theme to twentyseventeen and the problem went away.

It seems the issue is related to the X theme.

Hi @ioanamester,

I have checked your website and now it is accessible, it seems that the website URL is wrong in your first post and that is why it shows the error. I have checked and found the issue you described here, the problem you are having might be due to the improper update of the X theme and Cornerstone plugin, I would suggest you follow the below steps to troubleshoot.

  1. Delete the Cornerstone
  2. After deletion please use the link in the dashboard to automatically install the Cornerstone.

If that does not help, please copy your live site to a staging server so we could troubleshoot freely without breaking your live site.
And give us access to the secure note including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks

Deleting and installing Cornerstone as explained did not solve the problem.

Hey @ioanamester,

I have replicated this issue on my test site, so I suspect this is a bug. For now, please follow these steps to revert to the previous version of X:

  1. uninstalling Cornerstone and X in your site
  2. download the previous X version in your license page and install it on your site
  3. install the previous version of Cornerstone when prompted after activating the X theme.

Once an update is released, please check the latest Changelog of X if this case is included: https://theme.co/docs/changelog/x-10

Thanks.

After downloading and installing the previous version of theme X and activating Cornerstone, my website crashed (due to version 7. 0.1 of Cornerstone) - crytical error. This is the version of Cornerstone that is automatically installed when rolling back to previous version of X.

Where can I find the previous version of Cornerstone?

Hi @ioanamester,

You need to remove the existing Cornerstone i.e. 7.0.1. If you don’t have access to the WordPress admin dashboard, please remove the Cornerstone folder through the FTP/CPanel from wp-content/plugins. And then follow Step 3 from my colleague’s comment, install and activate the Cornerstone which will be the compatible version to the X.

Hope it helps.
Thanks

Thank you for your help.
Kind regards.
