Hi, I just upgraded Cornerstone 3.0.2 and now the Accordion doesn’t close. It completely ignores the “Start Open” option and opens all accordions open. It then won’t allow any of them to close.
Is there a fix / workaround for this?
Hi again. I just wanted to add that the accordion seems to work correctly on mobile devices, i.e. it starts with the accordions closed and the open/close function operates correctly.
So it’s just the desktop version that appears to be broken.
I also just tested using various browsers and mac Safari works correctly in desktop mode. The problem seems to be a compatibility issue with Firefox (mac). I’m using the latest version (58.0.2 64-bit)

Thanks for writing in! I’ve double-checked this just now just to be safe and the accordions (both “Classic” and “v2”) are working as expected across all browsers (opening, closing, specifying initial “open” state, et cetera).
Please make sure that you’ve reviewed our Update Guide, currently linked to in the notice at the top of the site. This will walk you through the proper process to performing an update and how to troubleshoot common issues. This is likely a caching issue on your site as we updated our JavaScript for how some of this functioned, so you might have a caching conflict that is serving up mixed styles/markup. The article will walk you through this in more detail, but you’ll essentially want to ensure that any caches (browser, plugins, CDNs, et cetera) are flushed to have the up to date code served to your browser.

Hi Kory, I cleared the cache and everything worked perfectly. Brilliant, and thanks very much for the prompt reply.
EDIT: nevermind, seems to be a plugin conflict with the plugin “Remove Query Strings From Static Resources” for anyone else having this issue.
I’m having this same issue, none of my accordion items will close. I disabled my caching plugin before updating, updated, checked all my pages and everything looks good except my accordions. I went in to the page and added a V2 accordion to see if that would resolve it, but it did not. I cleared my browser’s cache and also reactivated my caching plugin and cleared that. Still no dice. All set to not start open. Grouping is on.

I cleared the cache but there is no difference. Is there something else I can do?
Or is it possible to go back to the previous cornestone version? Because I didn’t deactivate my cache plugin when I did the update…

Thanks for writing around! The issue you’re having is due to the incompatible version of X with Cornerstone as you’re using an old version of X with the latest version of Cornerstone. Always make sure to use the compatible versions and update both X and Cornerstone to latest version to avoid such conflicts and potential errors.
