Hi there, if you scroll all the way to the bottom of the site, we have a big accordion used as an FAQ section. When you open a few accordion items that are bigger in size, for some reason, it doesn’t let you scroll down further to the site (like all the way bottom to the footer). We can’t figure out why. URL is in secure note. Thank you in advance!
Quick update, it seems like if I turn off your default smooth scrolling plugin, it fixes the issue. Any idea why this happened in the first place? I can turn it back on if you like.
Hi @Dil,
Thanks for reaching out.
It seems that a similar issue has been fixed a long time ago. I checked it in my local environment but didn’t find the issue. I would suggest you update the Pro to its latest version i.e. 6.5.13 and check if that resolves your problem or not. If not, please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:
– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password
To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.
Thanks
Hey, yes, I’d really appreciate you taking a look here is the domain for staging and login in a secret note. To replicate the issue, please open up a few accordions and try to scroll to bottom of site to footer:
This is fixed when I turn off your smooth scroll addon
Hi @Dil,
Glad to know that it was fixed when you deactivated the Smooth Scroll. But we are still curious to know why this is happening on your website. While trying to investigate, I found the credentials are not working. I would suggest you check and reshare it.
Thanks
Hey, yeah, I still would like to have it figured out and fixed because I’d like to use the smooth scroll plugin. The login credentials worked for me, can you double check you got the right domain, the staging one and copied the password correctly? Your screenshot shows you forgot the “S” at the beginning of the password
Hi @Dil,
It seems that you are still using the Pro version 6.5.11, I would suggest you update it to its latest version i.e. 6.5.13, and check if the issue still exists or not.
Thanks
Hey Tristup, I appreciate you trying to help, but it feels like these helps have been very low effort/buying time. You made a simple mistake on the password and now gave me a ready basic “check version” reponse, when the latest change is very incremental and it has nothing to do with this. As you can see it’s a staging site so you couldve also (but i get it if policy).
I hope y’all take this feedback in positive light, so future helps are not so delayed.
Now, I updated it for you, and same issue persists. Please go to the home page, scroll to bottom of the site, open a few long FAQs and try to scroll down to footer, you can’t.
Thanks for your help in advance!
Hi @Dil,
I requested that you update us as we are not able to replicate the issue on our end with the latest version. As this issue was already fixed a few releases ago, we need to be sure on this, that issue is back. I have checked your website Home Page and was able to replicate the problem you described. I will report this to our development team for further investigation.
Thanks
Hey @tristup, got it, makes sense, thank you! Will I be notified here when I fix is made? Do you think the issue stems from something else and not a bug?
Hi @Dil,
I have already checked by temporarily commenting the custom JavaScript and CSS code, but you can still troubleshoot the following common issues to narrow down the cause behind it.
1.Theme Related Issue
2.Plugin Conflict
3.Theme Update related issue
4.CSS/JS Customization
5.Disabling Cache
6.Disabling CDN
If you discover that an issue is coming from a custom code or 3rd party plugin, kindly consult with a developer or contact the plugin author and let us know.
Thanks
