Accessibility features in cornerstone

Hi,
What accessibility features for people with disabilities have on the authoring and output side? I client wants to use it and X to create an accessible site for a disability services organization.

Thanks for writing in! X includes WAI-ARIA roles (https://theme.co/x/features/wai-aria-compatible/) throughout each and every template file to ensure that your site conforms to the latest accessibility standards set forth by the W3C (https://www.w3.org/WAI/intro/aria.php).

If you have additional specific accessibility requirements however, you will need some customization. If not, everything will work properly.

excellent! so that’s automatically in all the pre built expanded demos as well. so there is no need to do anything an the assistive technolgy that people with disabilities use will detect it? do the included plugins have accessibility features too?

Hi there,

Yes, it’s automatic and it’s been part of the markup and coding used in the theme’s templates. And yes, with the cornerstone plugin as well. But I’m not sure with the bundled plugins as they have different authors/developers. Maybe we’ll have to check that as well.
