Accent on Custom Headline Element

I am not able to see the accents on the custom headline element.

I purchased the X theme. As a starting point I imported the full bamboo restaurant demo. I changed the theme color from dark to light. After making this change I am no longer able to see the accent.

See pictures. In dark theme I can see accents. In light theme no accents.

Hi There,

Please try adding the following CSS under Customizer > Custom > Global CSS:

.h-custom-headline.accent span:before, 
.h-custom-headline.accent span:after {
    border-color: #000;
}

This can be closed. I have it working now. When I went to add this code I saw there was already custom css for the custom headline. I removed what was there and now it’s working as I expected.
