A layout question

I am looking to have a 2 column layout which is easy enough by itself. But the difficulty is getting what I want in those two columns.

On the left side which would be smaller than the right, I want some static information to appear there. That part is also fairly simple as I just need to write it and be done with it.

But on the larger right side column, that is where I want blog posts to be shown just as if the site visitor came to a blog page.

How is that done??

Hi Chris,

Thanks for reaching out.

First thing you need to do is to create a section with 1/3 and 2/3 columns. It will have a smaller column on left and bigger column on right.

Then add a text element on the left column for your texts and on the right column, the only recent post element we have is the “Classic Recent Posts” elements.

Hope that helps.

Thank you.

Thanks. That is a big step in the right direction. But it only shows the last 4 recent posts. And in the case of what I have right now. A featured image and title of the blog post but none of the text. One has to click on the post to actually read it.

I would really like to have that right side column showing the entire text (featured image if any) and title of the various blog posts from current all the way to forever ago.

Hi Chris,

That’s the only element we have for displaying a recent posts. If you would like proceed with your idea this would require customization. Regretfully, customization is outside the scope of your theme support. You may seek 3rd party developers to help you with your problems or you can avail One where we can answer questions outside of the features of our theme.

Alternatively, you can try using one of the bundled grid plugins. Both have the features you need. Please visit the links below for more details and plugin usage instructions.

Hope that helps and thank you for understanding.
