6.4.1 - Massive increase in inodes

I went through all 24 sites on my server running Pro and they were all set to Webfont. It’s not the issue.

Hi Rick,

Thanks for the information.

Send us a message if you still having issues in Pro 6.4.5. See the notes here for SVG support and inode issues. Have a great day.

Thanks for the info. The new update hasn’t hit yet as of now, but I’m looking forward to seeing if it’ll work.

Over the weekend, I moved FOUR of my sites to another server, alleviating the pressure of building inodes. But just this morning, I checked the stats and it’s already climbing up.

Hoping this is all fixed today. Thanks again.

This issue is totally ridiculous. I have dozens of sites on Pro Theme. Now I have to go into every single one and adjust these options? Absurd. This should NEVER have happened. Why enable new functionality like that without opt-in??? It makes zero sense.

Is this new update going to address this issue properly or not? Properly would mean restoring the original functionality of the theme and removing the SVGs unless a user opts in.

Webfont is the default so you shouldn’t have to do anything if you’re having an inode issue. The docs go over how the svg file is unzipped.

It certainly hasn’t been the default for any of my sites as of these recent updates! If it has been fixed now, thank you very much. Ideally all my sites it would be reverted to Webfont, as they were previously, because it is a hassle going into dozens of sites, deleting the SVGs, and changing the settings.

I don’t see why the previous functionality would have ever been altered for current users. Surely it would have made more sense to leave it as is, and then allow people to opt-in for SVG support.

I’ll also acknowledge that SiteGrounds INODE limits are totally arbitrary as well, it is super dumb and this really shouldn’t be an issue on their end either. I might look into getting different hosting after this escapade.

Anyway, I do appreciate the prompt reply and thank you for trying to get this worked out for us SG users. <3

hi there,
same thing happens to me either. I even deleted the SVG folder in one of my domains but today, it came back automatically.
I deleted the folder again and updated to Pro 6.4.5 now, we’ll see if it will come back, I’ll note it here if it does.
Pro config is set to webfonts by the way.
