503 Server Error - New Update

Hi Everyone,

I’m hoping to receive some support on my website. Has anyone experienced a 503 error after this most recent update? I haven’t added any new plugins or messed with anything. The best way to describe the issue is when I am trying to load a page, it will time out and then come up with a 503 error. If I’m in the backend updating some content through cornerstone, the save feature times out as well. Any insight into this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi there,

This seems to be a server related error which is explained in the link below:

I suggest that you contact your hosting service provider and ask them to look to their error log and check why this is happening on your installation.

Thank you.

Thanks for the response. I spoke with five different Godaddy support members from their hosting department. None of them could figure out what the issue was. We had cleared out the cache on the server side as well as through my end, which cleared up the issue for about 20 minutes. I wasn’t willing to spend the money on a WordPress specialist to figure out the issue, but they were telling me to disable all my plugins one by one to figure out if that was the issue. I ended up rolling back the files/database to a time before I had updated my X Theme. Everything seems to be working as intended as of this last week, but I am hesitant to upgrade my theme again. If you have any other information rather than a generic 503 explanation, that would be helpful.

Thank you.

Hi,

Try to create a staging site and provide us your login details in Secure Note

That way we can test the update and investigate without touching your live site.

Thanks
