500 error still on after updating X Pro

Hi, everyone!

I have been experiencing 500 errors everywhere on my site after updating to X Pro 2.5.5, and a lot of sluggish loading on the website as a whole (both the wp-admin and the pages).

Already tried the following troubleshooting actions with no success:

  • Changed PHP version to 7.0
  • Deactivated all plugins
  • Increased PHP memory limit in wp-config

Any help would be highly appreciated!

Hello @gocil,

Thanks for writing in!

Website front end is working fine. It’s the backend that giving error message. Please see secure message.

I logged into the CPanel and tried to rename all plugins and Pro Theme (so that default theme get’s activated) to see if that solves the problem, but I am getting the same error message.

Along with updating Pro Theme, did you also updated WordPress? I would suggest you to copy the website to a staging server and over there try to reinstall WordPress and see if that lets you to login the backend.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks.

Hey @Prasant, thank you for replying!

Yes, I also did update WordPress along with X Pro. The error message you reported is related to the Exchange e-mail server, can it affect the website itself? (I am not a big pro on this server part, so any advise would be helpful.)

Hello @gocil,

Thanks for updating the thread.

If the exchange email server is being used for PHP mail system then there might be a possibility of effecting the website.

To test the system further, please setup a staging environment and share the credentials with us to take a closer look.

Thanks.
