404 page showing with 404-2 slug... can't change

This happened after updating X and Cornerstone (I think). I just want my custom 404 to be located at thegods.band/404 - not /404-2.

Come to think of it, I updated the Custom 404 plugin earlier today too.

Hi Jacob,

Thanks for writing in. Normally wordpress doesn’t allow using pure numbers as permalinks, you can test it by using any number in the permalink, wordpress will always add -2 in the end. So, maybe you can just use a permalink like 404-page. But if you really want to use just 404 then please try this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/allow-numeric-stubs/#reviews.
