Hello! How can I change the language and header and footer on our 404 error page?

Thanks for reaching out.
You can create a Single layout and assign it to the 404 page to customize the content and also create the Header and the Footer which can be assigned to the 404 page.

I can’t find the 404 page in the list of pages and it does not populate when I go to add it to a header.

You haven’t created a custom 404 page which is why you cannot look it up in the page selector.

Are you trying to assign a different header and footer for the Error 404 page like this one?

Just simply create a custom header and footer so you can apply the condition pointed out by @Tristup. If you want a custom 404 page, you also follow his instruction in creating a Single layout intended for the 404 pages.

If I create a 404 page and design it myself, how can I set it do be the default landing page when an incorrect URL is typed in?

Hi Ashley,

It seems that you want to set a custom page as 404. There are two options to set the custom 404 page one is to use the Custom 404 plugin that comes with the Theme. Second, you can create a Layout using the Layout Builder and assign it to the 404 Page with the condition shown in my previous post.
