Hello - I have a 404 page installed, but this seems to mean the 404 log in Rankmath is empty.
Does the 404 page take over and mean the page visit isn’t seen as a 404?

Hello Bill,
Thanks for writing in! The 404 page extensions allow you to set up a custom 404 page. It is most likely that this custom 404 page will be log by Rankmath.
Best Regards.
The page isn’t being logged as the 404 page isn’t not found - it’s a found page. My 404 log is empty. Is there a way to log the 404s AND have the custom 404 page?
Hi Bill,
It is not very clear what exactly you are trying here. If you want to create and assign a custom 404 page, you can create it by using the Layout Builder and assign it to the 404 page. If that is not the case, can you please elaborate on it a bit more?
Thanks
What I’ve discovered is that by assigning a 404 page using Pro, the hits on the 404 don’t get logged. If I use the bundled 404 plugin to achieve the same thing, the hits do get logged, You can close this now, I just wanted you to know.
Hi Bill,
We understand the point and will investigate this further and check why the Rank Math is not logging it.
Thanks
