404 Error When Attempting to access any Cornerstone feature from Pro

I created a new sub-domain and installed a fresh copy of WordPress and the latest Pro and Pro child theme . When I attempt to launch Cornerstone or access the theme options, I get a 404.

The permalinks have already been set to post. The server has mod_rewrite on by default (dedicated server with Plesk Obsidian with NGINX/Apache) and the main domain and other sites on the same server running Pro have no issue. If I reset the permalinks to plain, the issue is resolved, but changing to any pretty links schema causes the 404.

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for reaching out.
There might be some problem with the permalink settings. I would suggest you please reset the permalink structure, by selecting the Plain and back to %postname%.
Please find the article on Permalink Structure and how you can change it: https://docs.presscustomizr.com/article/404-how-to-reset-flush-permalinks-and-fix-permalink-problems-in

If that does not help, please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks

I was able to resolve the issue by creating a new WordPress .htaccess file for this site.

It was weird that all my other subdomains and sites with Pro never needed to manually create a .htaccess to get pretty links working.

Hello Kevin,

It generally happens due to a corrupted .htaccess file or server file permission. Glad that you were able to create a .htaccess file to fix your issue.

Thanks
