360 YouTube Video Not Working Properly In Mobile

Hi There,

I am trying to add a 360 Youtube Video on one of my pages. It works GREAT on desktop, but as soon as I test that bad boy out on mobile, it won’t let me view the video in 360 mode. Is there something I can do to fix this?

Right now I am using Image Map Pro, and the video is in a tooltip. I was thinking that could have been the cause for it not working properly on mobile, so I just added the video down below Image Map Pro to test it out, and low and behold the video also doesn’t perform the 360 effect on mobile.

Here is the page to check out.

Any advice would be amazing.

Thanks much!
Tara

Hello Tara,

Thanks for asking.

I tested the video on my mobile and it seems to be working fine on my end. Please see the recorded screencast.

Please try clearing cache and see how it goes.

Thanks.

Awesome!! Thanks for doing that!!

Do you know if it was working in the map pop up?
(If you hover over the little yellow icon…)

I cleared my cache but it still was not working. But I’ll keep trying.
This is probably not a question regarding X, but is there a better place to host 360 video rather then YouTube to guarantee those darn videos work?

Thanks again for looking into that.
Cheers,
Tara

Hello Tara,

Thanks for updating the thread.

I checked the video in popup and that is also working fine on my mobile. Here’s a screencast.

It’s difficult for us to suggest a platform but YouTube should work fine. Here’s an article that you can take a look for some options on 360 degree video hosting.

Thanks.

Well all be!

Thanks for taking a look again!
Thanks for link as well, I’ll def. read it!

Cheers!
Tara
