After updating the WordPress theme for Pro, my website’s CSS/Pro-Child folder is basically ignored, and the website looks horrible. I had to restore the prior version of the Pro folder in wp-content/themes. All looks good again.
We’ll have an update on Monday at the latest. It can be worked around by using the Starter stack.
My site’s CSS was very screwed up by this update as well. Isn’t this the kind of thing you’d want to issue an immediate warning about, and/or a patch to fix this. If I’ve made changes to the css in my child theme and that is now somehow overwritten, why would restoring a pro folder help the situation?
Hey David,
A patch release will be rolling out soon. In the meantime, switch to the Starter stack.
Please bear with us.
@Acumed, The restored Pro folder was the prior Pro version which did not have any issues with my/your child folder.
Fixes are out now in 6.8.1. Let us know if you have any issues. Have a great weekend.
@charlie, Yes! 6.8.1 is installed, cache cleared, and the website is behaving as expected. Thank you! A++
Good to know that the issue is resolved with the new updates.
