14 Thumbnails?

[michaelxxx]

Hi. When I upload a photo to my site I can see that there were 14 different sizes of the images uploaded to my folder, for example 30×32.jpg, 64×64.jpg, 200×112.jpg

Normally wordpress creates only 3 sizes, or?

Is this comming from your X Theme or is this caused by a plugin?

Hi there,

Thanks for writing in!

The image size coming due to feature set in X-theme, as different size of image used in different elements. Also image needs to be optimized for faster loading.

Hope this is clear to you.

Thanks

Hi,

ok, but is it really nessesary to create 14 different image sizes?

As described above, I can’t imagine a situation where a thumbnail needs to be in size like 30×32.jpg, 64×64.jpg, 200×112.jpg

Is there a possibility to reduce the amount of image sizes in the functions.php?

Hey @michaelxxx,

X / Pro only has 4 image sizes. The rest of the size in your site are from WordPress and other plugins. Removing X / Pro image sizes is not recommended and would require custom development which is outside the scope of our support.

Thank you for understanding.
