1.1.1 --> 2.2.5

We won’t get into why…but a website that I maintain (lol) hasn’t been updated since Pro version 1.1.1. Client wants me to now update/add content, and I’ve got a bad feeling about the update.

Am I going to have problems going from 1.1.1 to 2.2.5?
Anything I should know before doing so? (Besides the obvious “Back everything up first!”)

Thanks for reaching out.

I recommend cloning your site first into staging, and there, you can first test the update and fix any issue that will appear. And make sure to update Wordpress too to prevent builder issue.

As for cloning, you could use All in one migration plugin, please check this https://wpshout.com/quick-guides/all-in-one-wp-migration/. But instead of moving or migrating the site, you’re just creating another copy of your site through the process of export and import (migration).
