    Hey Y’all,

Just updated WooCommerce and am now receiving this message:

Your theme (X – Child Theme) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. These files may need updating to ensure they are compatible with the current version of WooCommerce. You can see which files are affected from the system status page. If in doubt, check with the author of the theme.

What do I need to do?

    Hi there,

    Please follow this guide: http://docs.woothemes.com/document/fix-outdated-templates-woocommerce/

    Hope this helps.

Question: on step 4, “Open the template you pasted into the theme folder with a text editor of choice, such as Notepad++, and replicate any changes that you had to the previous template in your new, updated template file.”

How do I know what changes to replicate, if the template changes were part of the theme, and not changes that I made? Will it be super-obvious which things those are? What if the new WooCommerce templates aren’t compatible with the theme’s changes?

    Hi There,

By copying the latest template file and pasting it into the corresponding place within the X Theme WooCommerce directory, it will temporarily fix the issue until the next version release.

    hope it helps.

let us know how it goes.

    Thanks.

    It doesn’t help.

I compared the two files (new and old) and there are more differences than I can count.
Also, IF I am replacing the NEW file with edits I made in the OLD file, then what’s the point of the NEW file?

Either this makes no sense, or the explanation is terrible.
