    X-brothers:

    I have had this ongoing problem now for months. In the wordpress dashboard – it tells me I have two available updates. One for X-theme and one for cornerstone. No matter what I do – I cannot update. It says:

    An error occurred while updating X: X is not validated. Validate X to enable automatic updates

    I have read every tutorial and forum post – tried everything – i must be experiencing a brain freeze. What on earth do I need to do to get my copy of x re-validated so that I can keep my theme up to date?

    Would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:

    – Link to your site
    – WordPress Admin username / password
    – Purchase code

    Hey There,

    Thanks for the credentials!

    Since you are using an older version of the theme v-4.1.1, which is the reason why it asks you to enter a correct API Key. Unfortunately, We have updated our validation process and now you don’t need to generate API key, instead please use the purchase code to validate.

    Kindly update the theme to v. 4.6.2 by following this link :

    https://community.theme.co/kb/updating-your-theme-and-plugins/

    (You can update your theme manually as well).

    And you will be able to Validate your theme by using the Purchase code directly.
