    Hello,

I purchased my 2nd X Theme and I have already setup 2 environments, one for staging and one for production. I want to install the Ethos extended demo with Woocommerce. Can you please confirm what are the rights steps?
    For example,
    1. First install Ethos extended demo in my Staging site.
    2. Install Woocommerce plugin in my Staging site.
    3. Finalize the web site design in my Staging site.
    4. When I’m ready to go live, clone my Staging site to my Production site.
    5. Go live with my Production site.
    6. Make any new updates firsts to the Staging site and test them there. Then install the updates to the Production site.

I want to also install Child Theme. When should that be done in the above sequence?

Could you please confirm if the above is correct? Are there any other / better options?

    Thank you.

    Hey there,

Exact staging to production steps differ from setup to setup and your hosting. As a general step, you should develop in staging and then push (involves Git or other technical/automated methods) that to live. The step is the same when updating your website. Other users use the staging to test updates and features and replicate that on the live site if everything goes well. This depends on how you work and your knowledge of WordPress development. If you’re not comfortable working on the technical side, it would be best to seek assistance from a WordPress developer so he/she could work closely on your project. Otherwise, you should consider the latter method which is to replicate the steps you do on staging to live. You might want to contact our trusted partners who caters X setup and customization needs. Please see https://community.theme.co/custom-development/

    Thanks.
