RyshardParticipantHi,
First of all I know absolutely nothing about coding, which is why I’m using X theme, for the usability. I apologise if I’m at fault and have done something wrong.
I downloaded X theme yesterday and have been playing around with it since, added Ubermenu and Essential grid etc.
Today my website crashed. My host basically gave me a warning that my site was too slow, guided me towards GTMetrix and gave me a checklist to go through to speed the site up. The list of plugins they told me to use seem to have done the trick and bumped my site from a page score of 56% to 97%. I don’t really understand the rest of the stuff they’ve asked me to do.
I also don’t understand the metrics on GTmetrix but everything that is red seems to point towards X theme plugins.
Is there any advice anyone else could offer me to sort this out. My YSlow Score is at 74% and should be higher (apparently). I’ve basically disabled every plugin that isn’t involved with X theme or that I really need.
Thanks in advance and again I apologise if it’s just my ignorance.
Cheers.
