When I use Global Search or Relevanssi plugin the search results page is really messed up. I switched to one of the Twenty themes and Global Search works wonderfully. Is there a quick fix that I can put in my functions.php to make this work? I noticed that there is a syntax error with ?s= when using X theme. Not sure if that’s it though nor do I know how to fix it. 🙁

Thanks for writing in! It sounds like you might be having an issue with a third party plugin or script. Regretfully, we cannot provide support for third party plugins or scripts as our support policy in the sidebar states due to the fact that there is simply no way to account for all of the potential variables at play when using another developer’s plugin or script. Because of this, any questions you have regarding setup, integration, or troubleshooting any piece of functionality that is not native to X will need to be directed to the original developer.

    Thank you for your understanding.

Would you be able to give me a function that would redirect a person to the same page they were on if they hit enter to see search results?

    Hi,

Regretfully it could be possible with custom development, but this would be outside the scope of support we can offer. You may wish to consult a developer to assist you with this. X is quite extensible with child themes, so there are plenty of possibilities. Thanks for understanding. Take care!

Would you be able to tell me which file is the search results page? I’m sure I can find a function on the internet to do this, but I’m not sure which file I would need to throw that function into.

    Hello There,

In X theme, the search page is simply using the _index.php which is also the template of the blog index and other archive pages. Please check out the following topics: https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/customising-the-search-results-page/, https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/custom-archive-and-search-index-page-with-essential-grid/, https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/where-is-the-search-results-page-search-php-to-add-google-custom-code-in/

    Hope this helps.
