DosatronusaParticipantAfter I had updated the website everything looked like the image attached (Ubermenu.jpg). I then tried to deactivate UberMenu as the primary. It never worked, like I explained above.
“I can’t disable the automatic integration so that I can still be using X theme menu. I go to Appearance > UberMenu and try to disable the primary menu option but when you click save the page refreshes and primary menu is still selected.”
I kept clearing the cache during all of this. I then had to restore the website to a later backed up version. This is why the website looks fine at this time.
The website uses UberMenu as a secondary menu on most of its pages. This is why I can’t just deactivate UberMenu all together to solve the problem.
I also do not have a child theme installed for this installation.
I just need to know that I can deselect UberMenu as a primary menu in the UberMenu settings, before I try to update the website again. Deselecting UberMenu as a primary menu in the UberMenu settings did not work the first time around.
Thanks

LelyModeratorHi There,
Thank you for the credentials. When Ubermenu is active, it will replace the primary menu by default. To disable it, we need to add the code suggested on this reply:https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/x-theme-4-5-0-and-ubermenu-integration/#post-1021377 to reset the default setting.
Because this requires a template change, I’d advise that you setup a child theme. This allows you to make code changes that won’t be overwritten when an X update is released. After your child theme is setup, please review how we recommend making template changes in Customization Best Practices. Then add the code from this reply:https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/x-theme-4-5-0-and-ubermenu-integration/#post-1021377 on your child theme’s functions.php file.
Hope this helps.

robotpantsParticipantWas there ever a clear solution for this besides custom code and a child theme? Seems like overkill.
I have the same issue – deselect auto integration and it re enables. I want to use Uber Menu to control my shop page sub menus but not the main site menus. According to the Uber Menu documentation I can do that but this bug seems to prevent that. :/

RadModeratorHi there,
It’s the only way for now since it’s integrated directly to the templates. But we’re still looking a best way to improve it.
Thanks for understanding.
