Gerald EParticipantHi, I doubt this is a regular support request but i would highly appreciate if you could point me into the right direction with my problem.
The X demo content was activated by mistake – therefore I activated the latest backup of my host.
Since then I have 2 major problems:
1. I am NOT able to access the frontend but i am able to access wordpress. I am getting a redirect error “too many directs”. This seems like a webserver problem but they assure its all correct on their side and it’s a wordpress settings problem.
2. Many pages and posts are not showing up in wordpress. my hosting provider looked into the database and they confirmed that all content is there but I can not see them in wordpress anymore. How can I fix this?
Also “wordpress experts” could not help me further and I am desperate.
Can you pls help?

ChristianModeratorHey Gerald,
Please go to Settings > Permalinks and try to reset it by clicking Save Changes button. Please also check if you have the correct settings in Settings > General and Settings > Reading.
This isn’t an issue with X but rather how your site was restored.
Thanks.

Gerald EParticipantProblem 1 is solved. I had to refresh the home page settings to access any page on the frontend. THANK YOU !!!
Regarding the lost content – Any idea why wordpress is not noticing many pages and the posts from the database??

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
How many pages do you think you have? When I logged in, I am seeing 20 pages and 5 posts.
Thanks.

Gerald EParticipantYes, but there are another 20 pages, 50 images and 10 posts missing. also the menus are gone.
When i search in the database i can see the entries there but not in wordpress.

ChristianModeratorSorry but I’m not sure why they could not be accessed as there could be many factors that could cause this including errors in backup and restoration. For the menu, you might need to set it up again.’
Thanks.
