    Hi there,

Thanks for writing in! Maybe you have already gone through this thread – https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/how-to-insert-wpml-selector-in-the-menu/

It would be a bit difficult to add them in Navbar. You can place them as custom link in menu item but if you want to add icon then it needs a bit custom development. Unfortunately it would be out of our support scope but this is possible. So you can seek help from a developer if you are not comfortable to do this.

    Thanks

    Hi there

How would I add it as custom link? Or asked differently, what would I put in the link URL since it should not just switch to one page – e.g. home – but rather switch the language of the page you are currently on

    Thanks

    Hi there,

Thanks for updating. If you don’t want to change the page but the language then it won’t work for you. You can follow the other thread if you are interested to place them in Topbar. I can’t suggest any other alternative for Navbar, unfortunately.

    Thanks!

    Hi there

    I am a bit confused.

So placing a link will not work because it defeats the purpose of the language switcher, correct?

So the only option I have is to have a topbar (which I currently do not have and would like to avoid if possible)?

    Hi there,

Navbar is meant to place the menu items only. So all you can do placing menu items there. If you want to add them within Navbar; you need to add as menu items or customize through Child Theme.

So, yes you might be interested to add this in Topbar.

    Hope this makes sense.
