WP version 4.6.1
X version 4.6.2
Cornerstone version 1.3.2
VC version 4.12I think I bought a separate Visual Composer license so I could update VC via the admin panel in WordPress and specifically avoid manual updates. When I attempt to update VC from the admin panel in the plug-ins area, it yields the following message:
Update Failed: Download failed. A valid URL was not provided
From memory, I believe I’ve been able to update VC via the admin panel previously. There probably is a simple fix to this, but I’ve looked everywhere without success. Thanks in advance for your help.

FriechModeratorHi There,
Thanks for writing in! The current version of VC that is compatible/bundle with x is v4.12. Would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / passwordDon’t forget to select Set as private reply. This ensures your information is only visible to our staff.
In the meantime please contact the VC support as well, they might solve the updating issue on their side.
Let us know how it goes, Cheers!

Thanks.

Michael BParticipantThat’s what I was looking for but couldn’t seem to locate the copy. So as I understand it, updates to X include any updates or adjustments to Visual Composer. Does it cause any conflict to leave it in my list of plug-ins?
Thanks for the response 🙂

RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for writing back. That’s not certain always so can’t say about the conflict but I’d suggest you to use the bundled version of Visual Composer that comes with X.
Cheers!
