I want to update my WP version, but it says it need backed up first.
Can you guide me to backup so I my x theme customization and all plugin doesnt gone.
Should I backup with plugin or directly from C Panel?

You can use backup plugin like Backupbuddy or BackUpWordPress. You can also use CPanel backup wizard to backup your entire WordPress setup.
