there is some confusion in regard to the audio post format. in modern wp installations you can just post the soundcloud link like https://soundcloud.com/welle1953/sets/welle1953-episode-41-190516 and you are done.

in an audio post this brings up “Audio source missing” (https://dev-welle1953-perler.c9users.io/2016/05/05/hier-ist-die-40-ausgabe-von-welle1953-der/)

as it is working in principal (the souncloud playe ris shown), is there some way to supress the error message?

Please add the following CSS under Customizer > Custom > Global CSS:

.format-audio.no-post-thumbnail .entry-featured {
    display: none;
}
