pamelamonestieParticipantHi,
I wanted to find out how I can simply have multiple featured products appear at the top of the shop page. I don’t need it to say featured product, or anything like that. I just want these to be the first products featured. Here’s the page.

Thanks,

RupokMemberHi Pamela,
Shop page and other WooCommerce pages use WooCommerce template, so you can’t edit theme directly or add any content. But if you create your own page and use WooCommerce Shortcodes then it’s possible.
Thanks!

pamelamonestieParticipantHi.
Thanks for this help. So I am playing around with creating my own page using shortcodes. Only problem. When I add the sidebar the Woocommerce Layered Nav widget does not appear. Is there a work around for that? Thanks

LelyModeratorHi There,
When I checked, I saw Woocommerce Layered Nav widget below by Style and by Color. See attached screenshot.
If you are referring to a different widget that is not showing, please do give us admin credentials on a private reply so we can check.October 12, 2016 at 8:05 pm #1213861
pamelamonestieParticipantHi. Thanks for your reply. Sorry didnt’ get back sooner. Went on vacation.
The page you checked was built with the woocommerce template. And yes, these are the two widgets I’m referring to. It’s the new page that is based on woocommerce shortcodes where I can’t get those to appear. This is a page that I’m playing around with it before committing to a new shop page.
Shop page built with woocommerce shortcodes. Widgets are not appearing on this page.
http://minervadesigncompany.com/cornerstone-draft/Woocommerce template page showing the two widgets I want:
http://minervadesigncompany.com/collection/Would it appear if I had Woocommerce main “shop” page pointing to that new page?
Thank you.

LoveBugParticipantHi Pamela!
I loved your page, how did you even get that to show up? I am having trouble getting the product and the page to look that good!

Rue NelModeratorHello Pamela,
Please keep in mind that the layered navigation widget only appears on product archives. Please refer to the documentation here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-widgets/#layered-navigation-widget
Hope this helps.

pamelamonestieParticipantThanks. Is there a way to get around this? I want to filter by product attributes.

pamelamonestieParticipantTHank you Sherry Ann… I don’t know how I did it that would be different from what you’re doing. It’s the Product Archive page. I need to create actual product pages using shortcodes, so don’t know if I can achieve the same effect.

RadModeratorHi there,
This would work http://minervadesigncompany.com/cornerstone-draft/, but there is no sidebar since it uses a Blank template. OR, you can have your sections in two columns and add widget area element to add your preferred sidebar.
As for filter by attributes, I’m not sure if it’s possible since Woocommerce has a complex system. Usual query filter may not work, you may want it to consult to some Woocommerce developers.
Thanks!
