Once it works, twice it doesn’t
then throws some weird jason error.
Then suddenly throws me back to home page after trying to proceed to payment
and begin from the beginningSomething very weird is happening here.
I truely have no idea what to do… 🙁
Any more suggestions? 🙂November 23, 2016 at 6:59 am #1268152

RadModeratorHi there,
I can’t replicate it as I can’t go through the payment process. Would you mind providing a video recording and the details of JSON error? Is it the Paypal or PayPlus? You may wish to reach Woocommerce community too as we’re not sure how the payment process works internally.
Thanks!

yositsitsuParticipantOK, finally it dawned upon that the weird behaviour reminded me of cashing issue.
Implemented this:
If using caching plugins (such as WP Super Cache or W3 Total Cache), make sure you exclude the following pages from the cache through their respective settings panels:Cart
My Account
Checkoutas suggested here:
https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/configuring-caching-plugins/and the weird redirecting thing has mostly disappeared.
Still happens in some rare cases, which I find really hard to debug…I guess these rare cases are the ones referred to in the links I originally posted.

yositsitsuParticipantOK, so I decided to create a video documenting a checkout form validation bug, and accidentally recreated one of the weird redirecting home cases. I am uploading the video to youtube right now and will post it when it’s up.
Hopefully it will be of some help to you in finding and solving this issue along with checkout form bug.Thank you!

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thank you for providing the video capture. Based on the information and as I have checked your site, I am guessing that a 3rd party plugin may have caused this issue. Please deactivate WooCommerce PayPlus+ (ISR) Payment Gateway or the WooCommerce Quick Buy and test the site check out again. You could also try testing for a other plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
Please let us know how it goes.

yositsitsuParticipantHi guys, found the culprit!
I started disabling plugins using the “seemingly suspicious plugins” heuristics:
Caching plugin – OK
The WC plugins – OK
Countdown Dynamite – Gotcha!SO, disabled it and opened a ticket to the creator: George Katsoudas
Thanks for your help guys and special thanks to you Rue for your reminder to go for the plugins 🙂
