devilmanParticipantHi,
With the recent release of Woocommerce 2.6 and with it saying it is a major update, I Was wondering if X was fully compatible with it. I’m a little nervous about upgrading it if I’m not sure X is ready for it yet. Will there be an X update to accommodate it, or is it good to go already? 🙂

devilmanParticipantHmm, seems I’ve come across an issue. I’ve upgraded to 2.6 and now the category pages seem be using the wrong image. An example URL is here – https://www.consolemad.co.uk/product-category/sega/. If I remember rightly, the page used to use the original image, scaled to fit, but now it’s using a cropped 250×275 image, which means my category images all look terrible. 🙁
Any ideas?

devilmanParticipantIt would seem that it’s purely a Woocommerce change and not X-related. If I switch to the 2016 template for instance, the category images are wrong there too. I think I may have to create category images with whitespace around them and reupload, which will be a pain!

LelyModeratorHi There,
Thank you for the credentials and glad you did a theme test and figured this is not x related. Yes, I can see that they have updated woocommerce_subcategory_thumbnail function from comparing the code from the previous version.

devilmanParticipantThank you for confirming it. I guess my two options are to reupload category images with more white space around them or to override the function. Although the first option will take longer, it’s probably the one I’ll have to go with I think 🙂

devilmanParticipantI ended up just reworking the images and reuploading them. Time-consuming but at least it meant no code overrides.
