lenax29ParticipantHi Team,
Using the White Label plugin, I tried uploading a larger file so that it looks good on a retina display.
Then I used firebug to play around and was able to force it to scale down by defining proper dimensions and altering the background position to “bottom left”.
Unfortunately upon trying to place my altered CSS in the Global CSS (inside Customiser) I found out that the CSS does not affect the admin section of the website.
As a feature request I suggest adding a checkbox under the Login Image field that would add the following CSS code:
body.login div#login h1 a { background-size: 50% 50%; background-position: bottom left }Looking forward to seeing this in a future update!
Thanks!

ChristianModeratorHey there,
Regretfully, at this time I am not entirely certain what the issue is based on the information given in your post. If you wouldn’t mind providing us with a little more clarification on what it is you’re wanting to do (a link to a similar example site would be very helpful, or perhaps some screenshots), we’ll be happy to provide you with a response once we have a better understanding of the situation.
Thanks.

lenax29ParticipantI tried to be as specific as possible but it seems this is not enough, so I’ll try to explain with some screenshots.
> Using the White Label plugin, I tried uploading a larger file so that it looks good on a retina display.
– You know, your White Label extension that replaces the wp-login.php logo?
– MacBook Pro with retina display requires double the resolution of images so that they look sharp.
See “screenshot-01.png” attached. – Does it look good? No – it does not look good to me.
Now take a look at “screenshot-02.png” – this what happens when I uploaded the higher resolution version.
>Then I used firebug to play around and was able to force it to scale down by defining proper dimensions and altering the background position to “bottom left”.
Further on, take a look at “screenshot-03.png” – as you can see we now have properly sized image with sharp appearance. This is made possible by the CSS I have provided above.
Now – Just give us the option to make this CSS active with a checkbox under the “Login Image” field in White Label extension settings.
I hope this is enough. Basically if you tried to follow my first post carefully this would not be needed.
If you still need clarification – I give up, please delete this post and forget about it.
Hope this helps.

JoaoModeratorHi There.
Seems like you are in the right path regarding the CSS, the problem is that Customizer won´t affect login page.
That page has an specific CSS FILE that you will need to alter via CHild Theme.
Please have a look at this link:

Hope that helps,
Joao

lenax29ParticipantCome on guys, don’t you get this?
This is a feature request.
I can do this on my own by modifying whatever is needed inside the worpdress files.
I am just asking you to make your White Label extension support retina displays.
What about all the clients that see a blurry logo on their shiny retina screen laptops?
Do you think we all need to modify wp files to make this work properly?
Honestly, we can do this, but do we need to do it after you have the extension anyway?Just add it as a feature request and make it available whenever you find the time to implement.
Thanks!

NicoModeratorHi There,
I will forward this thread to our developer so they could add this as a feature request. This way it can be taken into consideration for future development. All of these items are discussed with our team internally and prioritized based on the amount of interest a particular feature might receive.
Thank you so much for you patience and understanding.
