dtourcreativeParticipantI have been trying to solve a code issue on this site and you guys said it was Visual Composer Plugin – but they have looked into it and replied with this:
We checked it further. The issue is because theme author has disabled our default separator element using vc_remove_element. Due to this it displays as a shortcodes. You can get in touch with him and get rid of the above code from the theme to get it back.
Is this something that can be done? YOu can see the issue on this page when you hover over the Blog post image:

Paul RModeratorHi,
Upon checking, I can see you have VC Version 12 installed.
Kindly note that the latest supported version of xtheme is Version: 4.11.2.1
https://community.theme.co/kb/version-compatibility/
Please downgrade VC to V4.11.2.1
Thanks

dtourcreativeParticipantTHis is Visual Composers answer:
The compatibility of the theme with visual composer is maintained by the theme developer as the theme is a third party plugin. However, the 4.12 version is nearly a month old and the theme author should have already made his theme compatible with it. He might be already working on it. We release updates to implement feature, bug-fixes, etc. and it is upto the theme author to make their themes compatible with the latest version. Having said that, as mentioned earlier, the issue at your end is related to disabling our default separator element by the theme author using: vc_remove_element and is not related to the version. If you can get the location of the above code present in the theme and get rid of it, it should work fine. Unfortunately since this code is added by the theme author via the theme file, we are not aware of it’s location.
Is it possible for me to do this in the child theme somehow?
