@montereymtb can you really not close the video overlay? I’d like to check out your site but there’s no option for me to get rid of the video popup.

Here are is the latest website I’ve created with the x-theme as a framework (pre-cornerstone):

    http://www.agnetaakerlund.se

This is my personal website in Swedish. I will be making a new international website soon, so will then be taking the opportunity to getting to know cornerstone as well. 🙂

    Hope you like it.

Hi Agever – Love the cleanness of it! Very easy on the eyes and simple yet elegant. The marginless columns are superb and everything works together great. Nice work!

Hi Chris – Have you registered your second purchase in your account? You can do so on your Licenses page.

    http://www.bitvigor.com

Not only is X beautiful but I’m getting 92/100 on Pingdom.

I also wrote up how to use CloudFlare with Cornerstone on my blog:

    Hi Everyone,

here are a few websites I have just completed using Cornerstone. Very happy with the new tool. A lot of the pages I have to work with are pretty text heavy. So thank you X team for making a tool that makes nice clean typography so easy!

This first one is the largest, it has a heap of custom CSS to help with the responsive design. Nearly every page formats differently accross devices. Some are just simple text size changes and alignment. I am a stickler for having centered text on mobile, even in the footer. The vehicle pages were a lot of fun and work to get how I liked them, the client wnated avery model on the website but every one to link to the manufacturers site. They also required enquiry forms everywhere. For mobile devices it took a lot of time to think about how to present all the vehicles AND make it easy to enquire about them.

X and Cornerstone were outstanding for this. The ability to see your CSS live is just a thing of beauty!

Looking great, Zorrobyte! And thanks for referencing that article you put together…much appreciated!

Very cool sites, Justin…thanks for sharing! Glad you are enjoying your time with Cornerstone and able to build such beautiful sites with it. The live code editor is pretty awesome. I remember the first time our lead team on the project brought it up, they were wishing they had a tool like this for themselves, and those always end up being the best tools for others as well! We greatly appreciate the repeat business and look forward to continuing to work with you on many more projects to come.

Hi everyone! I run X on my website, http://www.improveyoursocialskills.com. I’m a novice web developer, but I think X has helped me make a website that loads fast and looks good. I especially like the shortcodes, since they have really helped me to spruce up my individual pages and make them look better.

(Of course, I am open to suggestions if anyone has tips for using X to make my site even better!)

    Hi guys,

@kgarvey – I used the Icon stack for Homemakers Ingham http://homemakersingham.com.au/

That is a bit of a cheat site, the Stressless and La-Z-Boy pages are embedded iFrames.

@formaggi – I have just used the Renew stack with some CSS mods to remove gaps and extra meta information. I love how the Renew stack has the slide across panels.

@kyle – Thanks for the kind words. I already have at least another 3 sites to develop with X. Any chance of becoming a shareholder hahah.

X is not just beautiful in its own right, it is so pliable that I have confidence to make a site any way I please. Unless a specific project demands another tech, all my site in the foreseeable future will be using X. I have already had one customer blown away (globeinteriors.com.au) at how easy it is for them to update their own pages with Cornerstone. It is going to save them a fortune not requiring to pay me to update the site. And this is how I want it. I never want a client to think they aren’t in control of their own site and data.

Too many web developers claim a website as their own. I tell my clients that I make it and then they can do what they like with it. I give them full admin access and they can lock me out if they like.

It is their website after all.

So far this approach is working very well for me, and with X and Cornerstone my clients can feel like they really are in control of what they have paid for.

    Regards

    Justin

    Hi Daniel W

for a novice you have done a brilliant job on the site. It is huuuuge, you must have spent a long time on it.

You have done so much work that any changes could be be a massive undertaking.

It is obviously very information heavy, so my tip would be to try and break up the walls of text with some changes in typography. Maybe make your headings and sub heading a little larger and change the colour to break up all the black. Then put the body text into columns.

But seriously impressive work. Are you sure you’re a novice? I know many seasoned web devs that wouldn’t make a site that good.

    Regards

    Justin

Exactly what we love to hear, Justin! There are some exciting plans for Cornerstone as we further develop it, but it is great to know it is already making such a measurable difference for you and your clients!
