May 21, 2015 at 5:36 pm #278998Hi guys!
my name is Dalia i’m a web designer from Toronto, Canada. This is my first time using the X theme or any wordpress theme for that matter. After alot of trial and error i got the hang of wordpress. I usually hand code and write my own html and css.
I’m building a site for a client: http://www.daliaelcharbini.com/tphealth/
and this is the blog: http://www.daliaelcharbini.com/tphealth/blog/My online portfolio:

Cheers,
DaliaMay 22, 2015 at 9:06 am #279512Dalia, sites look great! I’d consider making the text color darker on the rebelle design site. Also, change “George Bernard Chaw” to “George Bernard Shaw.” Wonderful work!

Dalia, would love to see the client site you referenced once it is on its production domain…really creative work!
May 23, 2015 at 1:34 am #280049Hi,
Just want some honest opinions on our dark themed website π
http://sqwoosh.com/
Thanks!May 23, 2015 at 11:19 am #280244Hi Sqwooshie π
Overall, the presentation is very nice and well thought out. A couple thoughts from my perspective. The bold white text is a bit hard to read on the darker background. Perhaps if there wasnβt so much text it wouldnβt be as much of an issue but it strains my eyes a bit as I scroll down to read. Also, the first load of the page took quite a while. The call to action at the end works well, so itβs really just fine tuning the overall performance of the page and the typography contrast/styling that I would focus on.
Thanks for sharing your work with us!
May 25, 2015 at 3:37 am #281120This is the first site I ever built on X and I am in love.

@ Designbytrick – It’s nice to see some more dark examples as those are somewhat rare π
May 25, 2015 at 4:34 pm #281517May 25, 2015 at 5:27 pm #281550Very cool site, Ashton! It took a while for me on initial load, but after that was pretty fast. Just wanted to pass that along. That big image at the top looks great but at 1.2 MB could definitely be scaled down quite a bit as that will cause a long initial load for most visitors.
May 26, 2015 at 4:02 pm #282420Just completed this one about a week ago: Sounds of Ambience!
http://www.soundsofambiencellc.com
It was created using the Integrity Theme, and the experience was a very good one! The client has said they have been receiving rave reviews from visitors and friends since its birth! Still can’t wait to see how the latest release of the X Theme (supposed to be live today per your email!??) will come forth!!!
May 26, 2015 at 4:10 pm #282423Happy to hear that, Unhinderedc…if you enjoyed your experience and the client has been receiving rave reviews on the new site, that’s a win-win! There is an update on V4 of X in the green message at the top, so check that out when you get a second.
Many thanks…we look forward to working with you on more of your client sites!
May 26, 2015 at 11:10 pm #282603Awesome theme! Will be purchasing a few more licenses to migrate my other sites to use this theme. Thanks for knowledge base as well, it has been helpful on many occasions.
