March 24, 2014 at 9:44 am #25992Hi guys,
I’m proud to present the launch of http://www.uwezo.nl using x-theme.
It’s a charity site for raising funds for disabled children. These guys are disabled themselves and are raising funds by making a journey by motorbike from holland to cape-town Africa. A 24.000 km ride !!Check it out :
March 25, 2014 at 8:32 am #26293Hi everybody,
This theme has become near and dear to my heart, truly! I’ve used it to create my visual arts portfolio & blog. Must say, X is a work of art in its own right and its a great resource for creatives. I’ve taken a minimal and stripped down approach to my site, which is typical for visual arts portfolios. So, its not the best display of X. But, I hope you enjoy nonetheless!

March 25, 2014 at 10:57 am #26362Thanks for the insight Kyle and sorry for the delay in response, was a busy week! I appreciate the feedback!
March 25, 2014 at 12:36 pm #26386Wilfred – That seems like a great cause! Nice job with the site.
Rob – I’m so happy to hear that as X is near and dear to all of us around here! I also love the HUGE optin link in the footer. Very creative site, my friend! I love seeing examples of X where people practice restraint and put fewer elements as that can often times be much more impactful.
Ben – No worries at all, and you’re most welcome!
March 26, 2014 at 2:53 am #26561Hello fellow X-themers!
First I want to thank everyone at theme.co for the great theme and support! You guys were really helpful and went above and beyond with getting me answers to my questions…especially helping me with the accordion feature.
I chose to used the ICON stack because of the visual simplicity. My website features illustrations about family life and I love how ICON is able to present my stuff.
I didn’t get crazy with the theme…I stuck pretty close to out-of-the-box and I’m quite happy with the results.

March 26, 2014 at 10:25 am #26676Okay guys… here is what I’m working on. Now I need to find a way to control the video when it’s used as a background in this way. I was able to turn the sound on via the slider_above & below php files in my child theme, but it doesn’t allow control of sound on/off or play/pause. Any ideas or solutions would be GREATLY appreciated. I also notice that the slider timer shows even though I turn it off. The best I could do was move it to the bottom. This happens whether the video is a background or just a normal video. This is a work in progress – so still much left to do.
Suggestion… shouldn’t the showcase forum category display the newest to the oldest so we can see the latest stuff first? Just a thought 🙂
March 26, 2014 at 4:51 pm #26853Steve,
Great job on the site! Looking forward to sharing this with others to check out as an example of what’s possible.
Regarding the sorting, we can’t change the sorting for this one post and this way people can read in order since if the replies to threads were first it would be a little confusing.
Cheers!
March 27, 2014 at 9:45 am #27116Gotcha. Thanks Kyle. Hopefully someone will come up with a solution on controlling the background video 🙂
