Well after around 3 months I’m now at the point where I’d like to share my X-theme website with this forum.
I’m a 2D and 3D animator by trade so building this website threw me into a slightly different world of design. It was all done in the evening in between growing the business and winning clients of our own (After recently quiting a 10 year long video production job in London to pursue our own studio).
It’s been a pleasure (most of the time) to learn my way around X-theme and get to grips with how best to put goethe the site I had in mind.
The website is to promote, showcase and win business for our marketing animation and video production business.
I’m particularly proud of:
– the ‘responsive’ animated clouds which go over the top of the embedded Vimeo video.
– The colour theme throughout
– Wooshii store, accessible via the footer for old game templates (that was a pleasure to integrate).
– The services page. There are still a good few things I’m going to add over this year including:
– Some images to add to the About page.
– More portfolio
– Case study page
– Many more blog entries relating to the subject of marketing videos for websites.
– Testimonials slider for the front page is nearly ready and due up next week. Thanks for looking… the work others have produced is astounding.

Where did you get those awesome flat icons from?

May 6, 2015 at 5:37 pm #267587Hey guys,
Just launched a few sites I thought I’d share. Love X and will continue to build with it. More to come.
My personal blog where my buddy and I write about long hair on men
http://thelonghairs.us/A girlfriends salon in San Diego
http://styleloungesd.com/My homie Matt Sparks Surfboard company
http://mdssurfboards.com/May 6, 2015 at 10:13 pm #267781Thank-you for sharing the sites and for your repeat business, Yobarto…very much appreciated!
Got some interesting designs going on – the logo on the salon is an interesting approach.
Looking forward to seeing your future X-powered sites.
May 7, 2015 at 10:07 am #268205Only a little bit of work to do and then this site is ready for launch. It’s a site for a company in chimney and roof maintenance.
I’m curious what you think of it.http://www.dakonderhoudvanzundert.nl/
Greetings.

May 8, 2015 at 7:31 pm #269375Hi René – It’s concise and too the point which should help the conversion rate for filling out the form The text is a little hard for me to read on the current background and feels a bit text heavy for the header area, so that would be my only suggestion.
Hi Clay – It’s coming together nicely! The green, white, and cream work well together 🙂
May 11, 2015 at 1:09 pm #270975Hi all,

May 12, 2015 at 9:27 am #271701May 12, 2015 at 3:27 pm #271945Work in progress but i will share it. Site is about artist bookings and there is a lot to add still…but you’ll get the picture. I’m doing this for the first time in my life so please bear with me 🙂

May 12, 2015 at 10:08 pm #272163Wow this is your first time building a site, D? You’ve done some extensive customizations that are looking good!
One suggestion would be to have buttons below those 3 sections at the bottom so the page doesn’t just end. All in all though it’s coming together great.
May 13, 2015 at 1:46 am #272250Hi all,
Great thread and great use of X by everyone.
Here’s my site: http://behindthelenscap.nl/Still have to find out some minor issues with the mobile view. The Facebook comments appear on mobile in a very narrow collumn. And I would like to see the sidebar on mobile as well.
