Hi Guys!
This is my first time building a site, it’s been a little testing to say the least. Still work in progress, some content and functionality to change before communicating a release next week so, feedback, good or bad would be more than welcome

Wayne – Generally speaking I think your definitely on the right track. I’m noticing several formatting things (that you are most likely already aware of), so the best bet would be to come back and share it once it is ready to go live.
Cheers!

February 3, 2015 at 4:19 pm #198388Hey at all,
we made our page just some days ago.
That’s our page, we’re open for feedback: http://www.tigergroup.euBest regards,
Sven 🙂February 3, 2015 at 6:27 pm #198442Greetings, Sven!
The site looks great…love the color palette, they all work well together. Looking forward to seeing what other designs you come up with, and thank-you very much for the repeat business!
February 4, 2015 at 5:54 am #198752Even old age pensioners cry at times.
Totally useless at anything technological I don’t even have a mobile phone ( Far too complicated )
This has bought me to tears many a time but I do hope you all enjoy it.
For some of you building this would be a walk in the park but for me it was a trip up mount Everest.http://www.differentopinionsclub.com/
Can anyone let me know how to get rid of the powered by x theme at the bottom please.
February 4, 2015 at 12:26 pm #199037Hi There,
Building a website your first time can certainly be a challenge, but kuddos to you for sticking it out!
I’m getting a warning from Google (on Chrome) when trying to access the link above.
You can modify/remove the text in the Customizer under Footer.
Cheers!
February 5, 2015 at 4:57 am #199560Whole site went a little bit strange for a while sorry, Links vanished along with some images and then something with SSL issues but everything should be fine now please try again.

It looks like many of the pages are still being put together/formatted. I also like the idea of what you are trying to do on the homepage, however some of the text is hard to read against the background images. It might be worth it to hire a designer/developer who can assist in bringing some of these ideas to life and help fill in some of the formatting gaps. Again though great start for being your first time at web design!
February 6, 2015 at 6:08 am #200402Thanks for your comments.
The site is a non commercial one and being a pensioner would struggle to justify spending any more on the site, I got hit for 3 years up front hosting charges by Bluehost. It started off life as a blog site but I have added the different categories in the hope to direct more traffic toward the site.
I don’t really feel the site will be able to make any kind of investment return especially as it stands, and for it to do so would take a lot more investment on my part. Not being the slightest bit tech savvy would also be a draw back if I could afford to hire a designer/developer, maybe later on perhaps or maybe someone will offer me a free service. I believe the business card offering me the free service is to be found near the pile of hens teeth.
Once again thank you for your observations and I will take them on board.
February 6, 2015 at 8:17 am #200482You’re most welcome, Gary.
February 6, 2015 at 12:39 pm #200620I’m a Systems Administrator by trade, but I challenged myself to do this site for my company. I think that it’s turned out really nicely. It’s not the first website I’ve built with X, but it is by far my best. It’s taken me the better part of a month to make it thus far.
I’m curious to know what you guys think. Any glaring visual or grammatical issues that I’m missing? Any feedback at all would be appreciated!
February 6, 2015 at 2:45 pm #200705Hi Ryan!
I think you’ve done a wonderful job on the site. It looks very professional and well laid out.
It’s also great to see some more examples using Icon and some of the unique clean/minimal styling and functionality for things like your news section.
Looking very forward to seeing other sites you build for clients in the future using X, and thank-you very much for the repeat business!
February 7, 2015 at 4:25 am #201022Thank you so much for this great theme. You’ve added all I wanted as if you were listening to my prayers ;).
