December 13, 2014 at 6:13 pm #164103Hi Bo – Thanks for sharing and for the kind words about X!
Hi Taki – The site looks incredible! You really took some time with the details, and it shows! Very engaging and wonderfully laid out 🙂 Noticed a couple small formatting issues on pages like this with regards to the text and extra spacing after some words and no spacing after some periods, etc.
December 13, 2014 at 6:21 pm #164112We now have a public showcase including some of the amazing sites powered by X! Hopefully this continues to give you inspiration about what is possible, and we encourage you to continue to share your X sites here!
There are many exciting new features in development for 2015, and we look forward to another exciting year. Thank-you for being a part of our community.
All my best,
KyleDecember 14, 2014 at 10:00 am #164352Hey! I recently launched a company that strives to make stunning web design affordable to everyone. Check out my site! It is built using the Renew stack.

December 15, 2014 at 9:48 am #164808Here’s my site using X for the local town team I’m part of.
I’m no expert, but I’m enjoying using X
December 15, 2014 at 10:40 am #164865Indeed. I am trying to change it up a bit. Maybe adding counters and other nicknaks?? I hope that gets me on the showcase/example page.
December 15, 2014 at 1:07 pm #164966Very happy to hear that, Scott…thanks for sharing your site!
Hi Connor – We’re trying to show a good cross-section of different showcases on that particular resource, so the more creative and unique the better!
December 15, 2014 at 1:49 pm #164992I’m gonna stick at it 🙂 – any suggestions?
December 15, 2014 at 6:28 pm #165142There is nothing specific per se…just looking for creative and unique customizations with the theme.
December 16, 2014 at 5:06 pm #165905Hello all!
I took the ICON theme and have made, what I think, are heavy changes to it.
As I’m not a designer I fear I may have lost some of what made the theme attractive initially.
If anyone would like to offer some suggestions or just try to identify what parts of the theme still remain you can check it out here: http://www.artfactory.ccDecember 17, 2014 at 12:00 am #166086Hey everyone,
I have absolutely no experience in web design so I am a bit intimidated by some of your websites. But my site is http://www.jeffpennymusic.com so feel free to let me know what you think! I love the theme and couldn’t have done any of this without it!
December 17, 2014 at 12:26 am #166107Hi Eric – I’ve got a couple thoughts for you. First off, the logo is a bit distracting. There’s definitely a time and place for creative functionality but you want to be mindful of not doing that at the expense of user engagement. I would consider using just a standard logo. Second, there is a lot going on with the site and a focus around a clearly defined call to action (what you hope visitors to your site will do when on the site) will help organize your content around that desired end-behavior. Finally, there are many elements that do not have the proper margin/formatting so I would make sure that is all tidied up. Cheers!
Hi Jeff – Thanks for the kind words! I think you’re off to a good start. The slider feels a bit tacked on and that it really doesn’t add any value to the overall goal of the site which appears to be to learn about you and your music. Perhaps consider removing the slider at the top and start with the about section. From there, just keep in mind overall formatting issues (noticed the images are not showing on your Music page for one). Cheers!
December 17, 2014 at 12:32 am #166109Thank you kyle! I figured out what happened, and on my main computer the images were loading fine but they weren’t for anyone else so I didn’t notice.
December 17, 2014 at 1:58 am #166147My pleasure, Jeff!
